I found this bouquet of pansies on the arm of my chair today after work. I just love pansies. They say welcome spring to me. Thanks so much to Lolo for sending this little bit of spring.

Card from Lisa for Caroline
This little beauty buzzed in yesterday! You really need to see this in person as Lisa has built up lots of texture on the petals and leaves which unfortunately the scanner hasn't managed to show well. But, isn't it pretty ? Love the colours and that quote is perfect! Thank you so much, Lisa - it's a perfect card for me!
A Beauty From Lolo For Cat!
This gorgeous postcard from Lolo stamped with lovely pink, purple and blue flowers and these mesmerizing hand-painted eyes arrived today!
Notice the perfectly placed Lotus!
Notice the perfectly placed Lotus!
On the back written in Lolo's beautiful script and pretty blue ink is a quote by Hubert Humphrey ~
'The greatest healing therapy is friendship and love.'
Then at the bottom is a little note in Lolo's pretty writting and bright pink ink that reads:
'picture your head filled with the flowers of friendship whenever you get a nasty migraine.'
I know we're at the end of this project and I really want you ALL to know how blessed I feel to have had the opportunity to get to know you all! Each one of you are strong, loving, caring, beautiful, talented, artistic, warm, women and even though I have never 'met' you in the real world I am honored to call you all my 'friends!'
Thank you, Joss for introducing me to all of these incredible ladies!

Ravens for Lolo!!!
Well you can all guess who made this beauty!! The Queen of stitches and sparkles and fun!
That little strip of dotted fabric at the top is silver dots on black, hard to see on the scan. I love it! And the main raven is bejeweled like a flower. Wow, Lynn, I love this card!
Thanks so much!
It was a perfect day brightener on this thunder-stormy day :)

coming to the end...what's next?
I just sent out my last, 10th card to Lolo. What' next? Are we up for another round? We could just start over! Want to vote?
One YES vote from me, who is just getting warmed up having cleaned my art studio this weekend and found gobs of collage materials I didn't know I had!

Catching up on posting the great postcards I've received
This first beauty is from DebraKay (aka - wild and crazy Deb). Isn't this great? I had a hoot of a laugh when I got it - I wonder what the postman thought.
The next one is from Patty - and yes, it did get here in one lovely piece. Look at that kitty just eyeing those poor innocent fishies...
And Mizz Cat sent along this colorful crazy typical Cat with a Picasso quote on the back. Look closely at his eyes - took me a minute to see the wild eyed look. I love him Cat - he's colorful and fun.
And last, but certainly not least, from Caroline - this lovely card and yes...you are so right. And we all should enjoy the journey shouldn't we.
I'm a bit behind in sending out my latest postcards but they should be in the mail by next week.
Lynn's card for Joss
This gorgeous card arrived from our very own Lynn. (What makes me think you have all decided to send me wild African animals in this swap? lol)
Attached to it were two pairs of cute animal earings she got from the thrift shop.
Here is it without the earrings, which are already in my drawer ready to be worn. Thanks Lynnie, another fabulous addition to my collection.
(PS Because of the earrings, this was sent in an envelope and so it got to me in perfect condition..... wish some of my others had been in envelopes too, as I would have got them intact. sigh.)
Marianne's card for Lisa
You captured the very essence of the things I love here Marianne. I just love it. I could just howl with delight. Awoooooooooooo.

Two cards for Caroline
What better to cheer you up after an operation than mail art!! I've been lucky to receive two super cards recently - this from Cat - gorgeous waving magenta flowers and the quote 'Friends are flowers in the garden of life!' - I couldn't agree more! This is such a fresh looking illustration - thank you Cat, your card is so pretty!
And look at this from Laurel! Thank you Laurel - I love it! So very Springlike with that elegant Iris and butterfly. I really like the long format too - the main motif is on quite a delicate paper applied to the background (is that stamped ?). On the reverse is one of my favourite quotes - 'The earth laughs in flowers!'
I have renewed faith in the postal service - both these cards stood up to the test arriving unscathed and I see that quite a few of mine have now reached their destinations. One or two missing still, but hopefully they will drop into your mailboxes soon.
Cat's Postcard from Lisa!!
I love this postcard! It is sooo beautiful and carries with it a message that is one of my most favorite quotes!
It says: 'There are two means of refuge from the misery of life ~ music and cats.' ~Albert Schweitzer
With an added piece from Lisa ~ 'And I would like to add, Nature.' That is the most perfect addition to an amazing quote Lisa!! I love it, and look at how perfectly this card went through the post!! Not a scratch on it!! I love it and can't wait to get it framed!
Lisa, I want to say a special 'Thanks' for the sweet message you added to the back. It is really touching and believe it or not, brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful thing to say! You have no idea how much that meant to me. I was going to share it but decided I would just keep it private but I wanted to publicly acknowledge it.
Thank you so much, Lisa!
Hug, Hug!!

Marianne's card from Caroline!
Waiting for me what I returned yesterday!
The quote is also perfect for me, a good reminder:`
~Stop and smell the roses~
The cat has a Japanese feel and I love the perpective.
It also looks remarkably much like Sjimmie........
Thanks Caroline!
(hope you are up and feeling great!)

Patty's card from Caroline
Caroline must have sent several out at the same time. I got mine a few days ago but have been too busy to post. It is a beautiful sunflower painted in watercolor and then sealed with something? Caroline - how are your cards made? It is not only beautifully painted but feels sturdy and held up really well through the postal system. If we do this again, I want to do my cards like you did. There's a quote on the back that says, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you will not see the shadows" by Helen Keller. I love this card and love the effort that Caroline put into it. It is gorgeous.

Lisa's card from Lynn
Isn't this just the most beautiful butterfly you have seen lately? Crewel embroidery, beads and machine quilting. This butterfly is amazing in that it didn't lose a beat while in the post. It won't have to worry around here it will be handled gently and is most appreciated. Thank you Lynn for working your magic for me.
Lynn Got Postcards from Marianne and Caroline in One Day!
Lolo's card for Joss
Ruthie the raffie arrived today from dear Lolo, still chewing leaves.
Isn't she absolutely gorjuss!
Isn't she just too bootifool for words?
And she is mine, all mine.
She reminds me of wide open spaces, green grass and blue blue skies, and the horizon shimmering in the midday heat.
Oh, almost forgot, the words on the back read"Remember, it's nice to have friends in high places."
She is now quite at home in the back garden with Marianne's raffie.
Thanks so very much Lolo. She is perfect.

Lolo scored twice!!
Today this amazing, beautiful painted postcard came from Caroline in Malaysia!
The colors are translucent and the texture is delicious. I adore this!!
She must have heard me say how much I like trees :)
The quote says...
"If you would know strength and patience, welcome the company of trees."
~Hal Borland~
Thank you Caroline! I hope you're healing well and will back in full swing soon.♥
This is the other wonderful gem that came today! It's a laminated sign for my door that tells folks exactly what I need!
The beautiful quote on the other side says...
"Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow the end, but somewhere in the middle we've become the best of friends."
This is so perfect Marianne, and so very beautiful!
I love it, and you ;) ♥
Thank you ladies! I'm very, very grateful!

Debra's Postcard for Lynn!
From Patty to Joss
This is how Joss was supposed to receive her card - 3 items have been torn from the front! I guess it is a long ways from Alaska to London, but you'd think the postal people would be a little more careful! I wrote on the back that I selected this quote especially for you Joss because you teach children. It is one of the most important jobs in the world, yet I don't think teachers always get the praise they deserve! Thank you for teaching our children!
Patty in AK
Suki receives a card from Cat
From Patty to Joss
My card from arrived from Patty in a very poor state, As you can see the front has been torn, almost the whole picture was hanging off and the back of the card is almost illegible.
I have tried to patch it up, and I think the words read:
"Teaching children is not always ....(is it enjoyable/easy/fun?), but one of the most valuable? things you could do in this world." What fantastic words.
Thanks Patty for the herd of elephants tramping across the wide open 'veldt', and the words.
This is the chance we have all taken with our cards, sending them off into the far horizon (uncovered) across millions of miles. If some didn't arrive batterd and bruised, I would wonder why. If there is ever a round 2, I would definitely put mine in envelopes, which I suppose would defeat the whole purpose, so I probably wouldn't play...sigh.

Cat's Picasso Cat for Marianne
He invented the giraffe, the elephant and the cat.
He has no real style,
he just goes on trying other things!
~Pablo Picasso~
This card got in the mail today!
Did you know I love cats Cat????? ☺
Love this card also!
Thanks Cat!
A Postcard for Lolo from Patty
This is such a perfect card for me! I definately have raven as one of my totem animals, so thank you Patty!
And yes, I was told by my mother that we were part Native American which my sisters roared about. Hey, I know she told me that...whether it's true or not, I'll never know.
I love how well you cut out the raven, but then again you're a master with scissors!
I love it...it will have a place of honor in my studio with all the other ravens ;)
